Who Can Join Nexus
Nexus is a verified professional network for individuals actively collaborating in creative industries. We serve professionals who maintain public-facing portfolios and need secure ways to connect with existing collaborators.
Membership Requirements
To join Nexus, you must meet two requirements:
Active Professional Portfolio
You must maintain an active public profile on a recognized professional platform. This includes subscription-based portfolio platforms where your work is publicly accessible.
Your profile must include:
- A working link or visible public portfolio
- Clear professional identity
- Connection from your social media accounts
Note: Profiles without visible work, identity, or cross-platform verification will not be accepted.
Social Media Presence
You must have an active, public-facing social media account on at least one of the following platforms: Twitter (X), Instagram, TikTok, or BlueSky.
Your social media must:
- Clearly represent your professional identity
- Be publicly accessible
- Link to your professional portfolio platform
- Be verifiable as belonging to you
Age Verification
All members must be at least 18 years of age. We rely on the age verification standards of the professional platforms you link during signup.
By requiring active accounts on these platforms (which must verify age as part of their onboarding), we ensure all Nexus members are adults.
Verification Process

Connect your active creator account during signup
Link at least one social media account
Connect Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, or BlueSky
Manual review by our team
Our team verifies account ownership, connectivity, and that your identity matches across platforms
Approval notification
Once approved, you'll receive an in-app notification and can start networking
⏱️ Processing typically takes 24-48 hours. You'll receive an in-app notification once approved.
👤 Human-Verified Community
Every member is manually reviewed by our team. We verify that your name, identity, and portfolio are consistent across all platforms.
No bots. No catfish. No automated approvals that let scammers slip through.
This is why Nexus members trust each other. We do the work to ensure everyone is who they say they are.
Important: Verification is completed entirely through the Nexus mobile app during signup. You cannot apply via website—download the app to get started.
